Frequently Asked Questions ✌🏼

  • When does the course start and finish?

It is entirely self-paced, so you decide when to start and finish based on your schedule. The course shouldn’t take more than 10 hours to complete. We recommend spending at least 2 hours a week and finishing the course in less than 5 weeks.

  • Can I take the courses at my own pace?

Absolutely! This course is designed for currently active and working professionals, so it is self-paced, allowing you to start, pause, and complete them whenever you like.

  • Do I need to have experience to take these courses?

No experience is necessary! Whether you’re new to customer success or a seasoned professional, our courses are crafted to benefit learners at every level.

  • How do I access the course materials?

After you complete the course, if you want private sessions, you can book a time with the course instructor, Gozde, here from her calendar.

  • What if I need help or support during the course?

Our support team is here to assist you with any questions. You can reach out via email from info@gozdegorce.com for quick assistance in navigating the course platform or understanding course content.

  • How long do I have access to the course after enrollment?

Once enrolled, you’ll have lifetime access to the course materials to revisit lessons and resources anytime.

  • How long does it take to transition into Customer Success?

It depends on the effort you put in. Going it alone with free, self-served resources, it can take 8 to 12 months to piece together a strategy and land a role. With my course plus 1:1 coaching, most people are looking at 3 to 6 months, again depending on the work you put in.

  • Do I need a tech background or coding skills to become a CSM?

No. Customer Success is a relationship and problem-solving role, not a coding role. If you can manage clients, communicate clearly, and solve problems, you have the core of it. The course teaches the SaaS and tool knowledge you need, so a non-tech background is not a barrier.

  • What backgrounds does this course work for?

It is built for career changers. My students have come from teaching, retail, hospitality, healthcare, operations, project management, and sales. The course shows you how to map your existing experience to what CS hiring managers want, so your past work becomes your advantage instead of a gap.

  • What is the difference between the course and 1:1 coaching?

The course is the full self-paced playbook: 12+ hours of video, templates, mock interviews, and workshops you can work through anytime. The 1:1 coaching adds personalized support, resume edits, live mock interviews, and case-study prep. Combined, they are the fastest path, usually 3 to 6 months to a role.

  • Is there a payment plan for the course?

Yes. You can pay $396 once, or split it into 4 monthly payments of $99. Both options give you the same full course and lifetime access, so you can choose whatever fits your budget.

  • What salary can I expect as an entry-level Customer Success Manager?

Customer Success is one of tech's higher-paying entry points. Total pay commonly ranges from $108K to $195K per year depending on company, experience, and location, with base pay making up the largest piece. Remote roles often pay a premium over in-office ones.

  • Do I need to be in the US to take the course or land a role?

No. The course is fully online and the strategies apply to any English-speaking market. Many Customer Success roles are remote, which widens the companies you can target. The interview, resume, and outreach frameworks work regardless of where you are based.

  • How is this different from free YouTube videos or self-study?

Free content gives you scattered pieces. This is the full, ordered system: how to position your background, run a real CS case study interview, negotiate the offer, and succeed in your first 90 days. It is the exact playbook my students and I have used to land roles at SaaS companies.

  • Will the course help me with the actual job search and interviews?

Yes. Beyond the role basics, you get modules on building your CS resume with the CAR method, running a productive job search, acing each interview stage, and negotiating your offer. You also get pre-recorded mock interviews and bonus workshops to automate your applications.

  • What tools and skills will I learn?

You will learn the CSM fundamentals: onboarding, adoption, check-ins, renewals, and expansion, plus core acronyms and metrics such as retention, churn, NPS, and time to value. You will also get an overview of industry tools such as Gainsight and ClientSuccess so that you can speak the language in interviews.
